Lewisham has over 800 community groups, social enterprises and charities, many of which rely on the generously given time and talents of volunteers.
VAL is the first step for volunteering in Lewisham, making it easy for people who live, work and study here, from all backgrounds and abilities, to get more involved in the community. To find out about local opportunities and to register your interest, please contact volunteering@valewisham.org.uk.
From a survey we carried out in November, organisations are currently looking for people who can support with website development, painting and gardening! Can you help in these areas?
We offer one-to-one advice appointments to anyone who is interested in volunteering. During these appointments we support individuals to search for volunteer roles that match their interests, motivations and time commitments.
