What Works Centre for Wellbeing was set up to commission and share useful research on what improves wellbeing. It has published numerous evidence-based studies that are relevant to the voluntary and community sector. These include:

To mark World Mental Health Day on 10 October the Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC) has launched a new toolkit for schools and colleges to support the measurement and monitoring of children and young people’s mental wellbeing, in partnership with the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, the Evidence Based Practice Unit, Common Room and Public Health England.

On Monday 15 December Healthwatch Lewisham is hosting their Annual Event for Lewisham residents and organisations. The event, which runs from 10am - 4pm at Lewisham Town Hall, will give the opportunity to find out about what they've achieved so far and help set priorities for the coming year.

A report has been published for the Health and Wellbeing Board to consider, which outlines Lewisham's Adult Integrated Care programme and Better Care Fund. The report will be discussed at the next meeting of the board on Tuesday 25 November.

Voluntary Action Lewisham has been promoting the Five ways to wellbeing as a set of overarching ideas that can promote connectedness and reduce loneliness. So far, we’ve shared these ideas with more than 100 staff members - mainly from the voluntary and community sector workforce and representing over 60 different charities.
