Lewisham’s Festival of Creative Ageing - Grants

Neighbourhood Community Development Partnerships (NCDPs)

Public Health Funding is now open for bids. The total available is £25,000 per partnership.

Lewisham Council and NHS Lewisham CCG are re-procuring information, advice and support services for unpaid carers in the borough.  

In partnership with Sport England, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government is calling for applications to the new Integrated Communities Innovation Fund. The first stage invites short expressions of interest by 11.45pm on 20 August 2018.

Lewisham Council is providing match funding to not-for-profit organisations  


Grassroots Giving applications for 2018 now open 

Applications for Skipton Building Society’s Grassroots Giving community funding scheme 2018 are now open – this year we have a total fund of £82,500 to help small groups and organisations make a difference in their neighbourhood.

Working with disadvantaged children
Lewisham Council ran two workshops on 27th November 2017.
These provided an opportunity for Lewisham organisations to find out more about how crowdfunding can assist the development of their initiatives.

Lewisham Council has extended the deadline for its £100,000 Small and faith funding pot, currently being run as a match funding initiative through Crowdfunder.

Lewisham CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) has decided to commission a new service to deliver care to Lewisham people who are nearing the end of their lives.

On 19 October Kayla Sh'ay was elected the new Young Mayor of Lewisham. Tekisha Henry, another candidate followed as the newly elected Deputy Young Mayor.

Destiny Chapman and Riley Jhanji have been appointed members of the UK Youth Parliament representing the borough of Lewisham.

Friday 16 December 2016 is the date the government has set for Local Charities Day, which aims to celebrate small, local charities and community groups in the spotlight.


On 28 September Esmée Fairbairn Foundation launched a new funding pot of £200,000 to support crowdfunding projects in Lewisham, Hull and Manchester.
