Lewisham Council is preparing a planning policy document called the Gypsy and Traveller Site(s) Local Plan. It will identify a site to meet the local accommodation needs of the borough’s travelling community.

The Council is starting to prepare a new Local Plan for Lewisham and has launched the first stage of consultation, inviting contributions to a discussion of the major new issues to be dealt with that will likely require changes in current planning policy.
