The Council is starting to prepare a new Local Plan for Lewisham and has launched the first stage of consultation, inviting contributions to a discussion of the major new issues to be dealt with that will likely require changes in current planning policy.
Lewisham Library Service is exploring further cost reductions in keeping with the Council’s savings programme to the tune of £1 million over the next two years.
Lewisham Council is consulting on proposed changes to its current directly managed day services at the Ladywell, Naborhood, Mulberry and Leemore day centres. This would mean a significant service change to most current clients, who may have to move from their current service locations.
Lewisham Council is asking for views on the way in which council assets, such as community centres, sports grounds and other buildings, will provide support to the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in the future.
