Assembly to be held on 18th September at Downham Health and Leisure Centre

The next Downham Assembly is on Tuesday 18th September 2018 from 7pm – 9pm.

This Assembly will be a ‘market-place’ style event which entails both statutory and non-statutory partners having information stalls which delegates can peruse and seek information and advice about services provided.

In addition all attendees will get the opportunity to meet our new Downham Councillor, Coral Howard and also our new Mayor for Lewisham, Damien Egan. The Mayor is making it his mission to attend an Assembly in each of the 18 wards of the Borough.

On 18th September the Downham Assembly will host a ‘Mayor’s Question Time’, an opportunity for people to ask the Mayor a question in person. Questions can be sent by email in advance before 9 September.

Also, the 2018-19 Downham Assembly Fund priorities will be decided at this Assembly and the actual fund launched the proceeding Monday 24th September 2018. The closing date will be 11:59pm on Sunday 18th November 2018.

All those that attend the assembly will have the opportunity to input into what they think the priorities for the fund should be. There will also be opportunity for those holding stalls to talk to attendees about possible project ideas they may have to garner support and, more widely, via net-working and information sharing, all those present can think about the types of projects that would benefit those living, working and studying in Downham and perhaps even consider submitting a bid to the fund themselves if they think they can deliver a project which will benefit the people of Downham.
