Farewell to Tony who has left after six years as VAL director

06 Feb 2019
Tony Nickson has left VAL after six years as our director. Tony had more than 25 years’ experience in the voluntary, community, and public sectors, working to address disadvantage, poverty and social exclusion. He joined VAL as Director in October 2012, coming from frontline community engagement and development work with refugee and migrant community organisations. Tony was responsible for the leadership and strategic development of VAL, with the support of the Board of Trustees. Ben Beck, chair of the board of trustees at Voluntary Action Lewisham, said: "On behalf of the Board, I wish to thank Tony for his services to Voluntary Action Lewisham over the last 6 and a half years, and wish him all the best for the future."
