Safeguarding Adults at Risk training for Faith Groups
This introductory level training programme aims to help people who volunteer or work in a faith setting to identify abuse of adults at risk and recognise possible indicators. It will address the 10 indicators of abuse including; Physical, Domestic violence, Financial or material abuse, Modern Slavery, Neglect or Acts of omission, Self-neglect and more
People with care and support needs such as older people or people with disabilities are more likely to be abused or neglected
People with communication difficulties can be particularly at risk because they may not be able to alert others
Signs of abuse can often be difficult to detect
