This workshop provides an introduction to the key aspects of managing a small community group's finances, and is ideal for anyone looking to improve their confidence when dealing with finances.

We will explore:

  • ways to keep your group’s money safe         
  • policies and procedures
  • using a budget to control spending

You won't need any prior knowledge of bookkeeping and accounts. You will need basic literacy and numeracy skills. We'll be working on paper, so there is no need for computer skills at this stage.

Who is this event for?

This course is suitable for new treasurers, committee members, staff or volunteers who need an overview of the processes required to keep control of the organisation's money.
