Crowdfunding is a way of funding a specific project by raising donations from usually through a time-limited campaign. For small charities getting to grips with this digital means of fundraising can be challenging.

We're putting on a special briefing session to showcase the success of Vicky Skingly, owner of Good Food Catford, who successfully raised £32,129 through crowdfunding.

Come and hear how she did it and find out whether this fundraising approach might be right for our project too. In this early evening briefing session you will:

  • discover how one local woman successfuly raised £32k through crowdfunding to create a community-centred grocery store & deli focusing on local, seasonal foods and basic goods
  • find out how Vicky rallied support for this exciting venture and in so doing help breath a new lease of life into a once vibrant shopping parade in Catford south
  • decide whether a crowdfunding campaign is the right fundraising method for your project.

Hear Vicky's story, ask questions and sample some of the locally produced foods stocked by Good Food Catford.

Venue: The Green Man, 355 Bromley Road SE6 2RP
