VAL's heritage booklet launch

Great to see everyone at the heritage exhibition launch.

We also took some some of the stories down to People's Day in Catford.

Thanks to funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Voluntary Action Lewisham (VAL) has been able to celebrate its 50th anniversary and 50 years of community-led action in Lewisham.
Over the past year, project volunteers have gathered fascinating stories about the work of VAL and other local organisations and activists.
The project has provided opportunities to visit archives, attend heritage talks and training in oral history, digital recording, interviewing and editing. Volunteers have put their skills into practice by interviewing and recording some of the amazing people who have helped to make Lewisham the place it is today.
Check out our events page to see fascinating stories in our exhibition, listen to the edited interviews and pick up a copy of our project booklet.

We look forward to hearing your inspiring stories of community activism.
