Training 
These events provide opportunities for collective learning, information sharing and dissemination of information that are of benefit to the voluntary and community sector.
Consultations 
These events are held from time to time to harness the views and contribution of the voluntary and community sector on issues of policy, strategy and participation in local, regional and national issues.
Conference 
These events are usually held to address specific issues. They vary in size and content. They are intended to contribute to the overall development of the voluntary and community sector.
Annual General Meeting 
These meetings are the ordinary general meeting of an organisation. It is a statutory obligation for most organisations to hold Annual General Meetings. These are normally open to the general public.. However, only members are usually allowed to vote on constitutional issues.
Members Meeting, 
These meetings can either be open or closed meetings. Usually only members are allowed to vote on constitutional issues of the organisation.
Public Meeting 
Public meetings are usually held to address specific issues or as part of the accountability structure of organisations. Each meeting will have its own emphasis and is open to the general public. Some meetings will allow the audience to participate fully, although others will only allow attendees to observe proceedings.
Public Lecture 
Public lectures vary widely and will depend on the organisation delivering them. They will normally include time for questions from the audience. No prior knowledge of the subject is expected. Unless otherwise stated they are usually free of cost.
Community Event 
These events are organised and delivered for the benefit of the voluntary and community sector and are open to organisations as well as Lewisham's citizens, unless otherwise stated.
