Voluntary Action Lewisham’s payroll service is for local voluntary and community groups.
Due to the complexity of payroll, it can be difficult and time consuming. We provide this service so organisations can concentrate on their existing responsibilities and what really matters in the community.
Voluntary Action Lewisham currently provides the service to 30 organisations.
What will VAL’s payroll service provide?
- Calculation of staff salaries (incl. overtime, bonus’, additional pay)
- Provide payslips for each member
- Calculate Tax (PAYE) and National Insurance contributions
- Provide a breakdown of payments to staff and Inland Revenue
- Calculate Statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP)
- Complete End-of-Year returns
- Offer advice and support on any employment issues.
- Give up to date information on Tax and salary issues
- Keep record of all payments as well as provide all documentation to Inland Revenue if requested.
What will it cost?
Members of VAL
- £6.50 per payslip (Monthly)
- £25 set up fee (one off payment)
- £40 End of Year returns (one off yearly payment)
Non-members of VAL
- £7.50 per payslip (Monthly)
- £25 set up fee (one off payment)
- £50 End of Year returns (one off yearly payment)
Non-profit making organisations outside of Lewisham
- £10 per payslip (Monthly)
- £30 set up fee (one off payment)
- End of Year returns, £10 per employee
