Show your impact
Our latest programme will help you prove the worth of the work your organisation does.
As voluntary and community organisations in the social sector, we can be so focussed on the work that they are doing that we can sometimes lose sight of how to effectively demonstrate the difference we're making to our service users and local communities. To do this, we need to be clear about what we want to achieve and the difference we want to make. The real challenge then comes in measuring and communicating the impact we're having to funders and supporters.
Show your impact is a three-year funded project that aims to help small and medium sized organisations understand, measure and communicate their impact. Funded by City Bridge Trust, this programme will take leaders of organisations who want to remain sustainable by identifying, measuring and showing the change they want to make to their beneficiaries.
The programme includes:
- training sessions
- one-to-one support
- peer learning sessions
- case studies.
The majority of sessions are half-day and are spread throughout the year and are advertised on our homepage.
- Introduction to monitoring and outcomes
- Collecting impact measurement data methods and digital tools for outcomes
- Understanding and creating your theory of change
- Measuring the immeasurable– quantifying social outcomes
- Communicating impact – reporting and getting your messages across
Non-participating VAL members are welcome to send their staff or volunteers to a relevant one-off session at member rates. Click here to indicate which session you would be interested in. Not a member? Join today
