Are you interested in neighbourliness, reducing isolation and incentivising people to participate in and contribute to the local community? Rushey Green Time Bank has a brilliant opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed person to make a real difference as a Community Projects Lead.
Solutions focused and imaginative, in this role you will work with a diverse community of people across several projects, coordinating a programme of activities to engage local people to exchange time and skills with each other and volunteer in projects. Working with individuals you will create an environment and activities to improve their mental health and wellbeing so that they feel empowered, involved and valued. You will be working as part of team that has a vision of neighbourliness and social action in Lewisham, as well as with local partners that share that vision and are working together.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, proven experience of working with older people, in mental health settings and managing volunteers. You will demonstrate highly-developed organisational and project management skills.

You may be someone who has an interest in bereavement and/or counselling, or want to get involve in helping to manage a local community organisation.

London Bubble makes theatre with community and builds community through theatre. We bring together children, adults and artists to create exciting inter-generational projects.
Creative Volunteers can get involved with London Bubble by participating in a project, or by providing the support that allows others to participate. You can volunteer on specific projects or help us with events throughout the year.
At the moment we are looking for people to support and participate in our inter-generational project exploring the subject of Primary schools. Children, adults and artists will come together for training sessions, interviews and workshops and we will work towards a co-created performance piece given by a multi-generational cast and choir in late 2017/early 2018.
You can help by:
- Researching a topic or conducting an interview
- Talking to us about your experience of working in primary education
- Supporting an older participant to get involved in the project
- Joining our performance company
- Joining our choir
We are especially keen to hear from:
- people who would like to support an older adult to take part in activities with Bubble
- people aged 59-69 with time & skills to offer
- people who have experience of working in primary education
