VAL Projects

In addition to providing the services usually associated with a CVS (see About VAL), VAL has particular projects which are detailed below.

ASSET
Asset, or Accountancy Support in South East Thames, its full name, is a Consortium providing accountancy support to voluntary and community Organisations in South East London
Change Up(see 'About Lewisham' section)
ChangeUp is part of a national strategy of improving support to the voluntary sector
Children and Young People (see 'About Lewisham' section)
The Children and Young People's project works with the VCS Children and Young People's Forum to ensure that the voices of children and young people are heard in Lewisham
CRIB
CRIB is the Community Resource and Information Bureau. CRIB supports voluntary and community groups by carrying out research into the sector, providing information and support around funding and providing development support.
Grapevine (see 'Resources' section)
Grapevine is VAL's newsletter that is produced 10 times a year.
Health and Social Care (see 'About Lewisham' Section)
The Health & Social Care Forum is made up of a number of voluntary organisations that all have a remit around health or social care in Lewisham
The Learning Partnership Project
The Learning Partnership Project aims to bring a partnership approach to the delivery of support to the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in Lewisham by working together with the Federation of Adult Skills Lewisham and other strategic partners.
Neighbourhood Engagement Project
Our Neighbourhood Engagement Project uses community development principles to encourage collaboration between voluntary & community groups in neighbourhoods and to support active communication between VCS groups and the borough’s 18 Local Assemblies.
Payroll
VAL offers a payroll service to voluntary and community organisations in the London Borough of Lewisham
Photocopy and Mailout
VAL offers a photocopy and mailout service. There is also the opportunity to include inserts in our regular newsletter - Grapevine
