The Health and Social Care Officer represents the voluntary and community sector on a range of local health bodies. To do this effectively the Officer listens to the concerns raised and reflects them back to the following partnership boards:
Adults Strategic Partnership Board
The Adults Strategic Partnership Board is the main partnership in Lewisham with an overview of health and social care. It is responsible for planning, development and delivery of services. The Board is made up of representatives from Lewisham Council, Lewisham PCT, University Hospital Lewisham, South London and Maudsley Mental Health NHS Trust, Lewisham College, Voluntary Action Lewisham and three elected voluntary sector representatives.
Healthier Lewisham Board
The Healthier Lewisham Partnership Board is a partnership working towards health improvement, health promotion and reducing health inequalities in Lewisham. The board is of made up of representatives from organisations concerned with improving health in Lewisham.
Adult Partnership Board
The Adult Partnership Board plans and oversees services for vulnerable adults. The board is made up of representatives from Lewisham Council, Lewisham PCT, University Hospital Lewisham, South London and Maudsley Mental Health NHS Trust and voluntary and community organisations.
