Capital grants for social enterprises in health or social care

Social Enterprises offering services in either health or social care are being offered capital grants of between £50,000 and £450,000 from the Social Enterprise Investment Fund until 1st November 2010.

Capital grants can be used for :
  • Property or land purchases
  • some fees relating to capital projects including solicitors, architects and surveyors
  • property renovations and refurbishments
  • purchase of vehicles
  • equipment for delivery of services e.g. fixtures and fittings
  • IT equipment

Eligibility:

We will consider all applications from health and social care delivery organisations but are particularly interested in funding proposals that address the following priorities:

  • carers’ organisations
  • user-led organisations working with users on personal budgets
  • dementia
  • long term conditions
  • social care spin outs

The money must be spent by 31 March 2011
