The Bitesize Finance series of short courses is designed for people working or volunteering in the voluntary and community sector.  Each course in the series gives a simple introduction to a practical finance topic.  Courses can be booked individually or you can book all six and get one free.

Bitesize Petty Cash & Volunteer Expenses will help you:

  • Understand the need for some rules about who can claim petty cash and for what
  • How to record petty cash spending
  • How to make sure your petty cash doesn't get in a mess
  • Understand what can and cannot be paid to volunteers as expenses

The course is suitable for beginners with little or no knowledge of bookkeeping or financial matters.  It is ideal for committee members, admin or finance workers, co-ordinators as well as finance volunteers.

Follow up support is available to help you put your learning into practice and more advanced training is available if you would like to learn more.

The other courses in the Bitesize Finance series are:
