A new edition of Voluntary, but not amateur was published on 20 May. It is produced by the London Voluntary Service Council and published by the Directory of Social Change.

The 8th edition is 70 pages longer than the previous version and covers more of the legal framework and obligations that voluntary and community organisations work in.

Voluntary, but not amateur, along with another book from LVSC, Just about managing, are widely regarded as being among the most useful books for voluntary and community organisations.
